Israeli forces detain eight suspects in West Bank raid

Israeli forces have detained eight Palestinians wanted on suspicion of involvement in terrorist activity during a raid near the village of Mukhmas in the occupied West Bank, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said.

In a statement, the IDF said: “Soldiers detained eight wanted individuals in the area of the community of Mukhmas. The IDF continues operations throughout Judea and Samaria (the Israeli designation for the West Bank — ed.) to thwart terrorism and apprehend terrorists.”

The military added that those detained “are suspected of pursuing and attacking Israeli civilians.”

No further details were immediately provided regarding the identities of the suspects or any charges filed.
