Israeli forces detain four terrorists plotting attack overnight

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers conducted operations across several areas overnight from December 24 to 25.

In the Jayus area, soldiers detained four terrorists who were planning an attack, Caliber.Az reports, citing IDF press service.

“Additionally, IDF soldiers in the areas of Kifl Haris and Deir Istiya apprehended three terrorists who hurled rocks at a main route,” the statement read.

The detained suspects were handed over to the Israeli Security Agency (ISA) for further questioning.

“The security forces continue operating to thwart terrorism in the area and against anyone who harms or attempts to harm Israeli civilians and the security forces,” the statement added.

Israeli forces detained at least 23 Palestinians in widespread predawn raids across the occupied West Bank on December 24, 2025, storming homes in Jenin, Salfit and Qalqilya governorates and handing suspects over for interrogation amid heightened security operations.

Since late January 2025, the IDF’s larger “Iron Wall” counterterrorism campaign in the West Bank has led to hundreds of arrests and the disruption of militant infrastructure, including weapons caches and explosive devices, as part of efforts to neutralise imminent threats.

In November 2025, the Israeli military conducted “Operation Five Stones” in Tubas Governorate, detaining dozens of Palestinians and seizing weapons during a four‑day offensive against militants in the West Bank before withdrawing from the area.
