Israeli forces dismantle extensive underground tunnel network VIDEO

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops operating in the southern Gaza Strip have uncovered and dismantled a significant underground tunnel network in the Khan Yunis area. 

The tunnel system, approximately 3.5 kilometers in length, was discovered during joint operations by the Kfir Brigade, under the 36th Division, and the Yahalom combat engineering unit, Caliber.Az reports per the IDF statement.

The tunnel route included multiple interconnected tunnels, some of which contained hideouts reportedly used by militants. In the course of the operation, IDF forces also uncovered infrastructure believed to store explosives and found weapons within the area.
