Israeli forces eliminate Hamas fighter near troops in southern Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have said that a Hamas militant was identified and killed in southern Gaza after crossing the “yellow line” and approaching Israeli troops, posing an immediate threat.
“The IDF eliminated a terrorist from the Hamas terror organization who posed a threat to our forces and infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre,” the military said.
“Yesterday (Monday), combat team forces from Brigade 188 operating in the southern Gaza Strip identified a terrorist from the Hamas terror organization who crossed the yellow line and approached the forces in a manner that posed an immediate threat.
Immediately after identification, the Air Force, guided by the forces, eliminated the terrorist in order to remove the threat.
The eliminated terrorist infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and recently attempted to carry out terror attacks against IDF forces.
IDF forces under Southern Command are deployed in the area according to the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat,” the statement notes.
