Israeli forces hit key Hamas targets in Khan Younis VIDEO
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it carried out a series of strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip, including the group's maritime police base and three weapons storage facilities in the south of the enclave.
A statement from the IDF press service said that the Israeli forces targeted the main headquarters of Hamas’ maritime police in the Khan Younis area of southern Gaza.

“The Israel Defense Forces struck the main headquarters of Hamas’ naval police in the Khan Younis area in the southern Gaza Strip. Several militants operating at the site were eliminated, including Ismail Al-Laham, a Hamas Military wing cell commander,” the military said.
The IDF added that it also “struck and destroyed three Hamas weapons storage facilities in the southern Gaza Strip.”
According to the statement, Israeli forces detected several Hamas militants attempting to remove weapons from the targeted sites after local residents had been given advance warning of the impending strikes.
“Before the strikes were carried out, and after local residents had been given advance warning of the attack, the Israel Defense Forces identified several militants from Hamas’ military wing attempting to remove weapons stored at the sites using vehicles. The forces subsequently carried out strikes against them,” the military said.
The army further stated that secondary explosions were observed following the attacks, which it said confirmed the presence of weapons at the targeted facilities.
“Following the attack, secondary explosions were observed, confirming the presence of weapons at the targeted facilities,” the statement added.
