Israeli forces kill three PFLP and Hamas commanders PHOTO

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have neutralised three commanders from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Ali Nadal Hassani Sarfiti, a senior militant leader of the PFLP, was eliminated in Gaza City on April 24, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement by the IDF press service.

Sarfiti had served a prison sentence in Israel from 2002 to 2015 for planning a terrorist attack. After his release, he resumed terrorist activities, established connections in Judea and Samaria, and provided them with financial support, transferring millions of shekels in total.

Also killed were Said Amin Said Abu Hasnain, a commander of the elite "Nukhba" unit in the Deir al-Balah Brigade, and Mustafa Yusuf al-Abd Matouq, a commander in the Jabalia Battalion.

These operations are part of Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza, which resumed in March 2025 after a ceasefire collapsed.​

As of April 29, 2025, the conflict continues with no immediate resolution in sight. Efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States to broker a ceasefire have so far been unsuccessful, and the humanitarian situation in Gaza remains critical.
