Israeli forces launch pinpoint strike on apartment building in southern Beirut
Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out a pinpoint strike on an apartment building in the Gubeiri neighbourhood on the southern outskirts of Beirut, where the headquarters and facilities of the Shiite organization Hezbollah are located.
The planes fired missiles at one of the apartments in the multi-story building, where a fire broke out. No fatalities have been reported so far, but three ambulances and firefighters have already arrived at the site of the blast, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
The army press office says the Israeli Air Force is carrying out new strikes on Shiite Hezbollah targets inside Lebanon.
“The Israel Defense Forces continue to attack terrorist targets in Lebanon belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization,” it said.
According to the press service, Israel Air Force fighter jets have attacked various Hezbollah targets over the past few hours, including rocket launchers aimed toward Israeli territory, weapons depots and other infrastructure.
“The Israel Defense Forces continues to work to weaken and eliminate Hezbollah's capabilities in Lebanon,” the military said.
