Israeli forces neutralize Hamas operative in southern Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that a Hamas operative in southern Gaza was neutralized in a precise strike, conducted in accordance with the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
The militant was reportedly planning an imminent attack on IDF units operating in the area.
“A short while ago, the IDF struck, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, a Hamas terrorist who planned to carry out an imminent terror attack against IDF troops operating in the southern Gaza Strip,” the military said.
“The terrorist posed an imminent threat to the troops and therefore was precisely struck.”
The IDF emphasized that steps were taken to minimize civilian harm prior to the strike, including the use of precise munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence.
“IDF troops in the Southern Command remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat,” the statement added.
