Israeli forces strike rocket sites in Gaza
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) carried out airstrikes on the southern Gaza Strip targeting rocket launchers prepared by militants to attack Israeli territory, the army’s spokesperson said on August 18.
According to Caliber.Az, the army’s press office reported that in the past 24 hours, forces operating in southern Gaza identified and struck several rocket launchers prepared to fire at Israel.
The IDF added that operations against militant groups continue across the Gaza Strip.
In the northern and central areas of the enclave, Israeli forces are reportedly destroying militant military sites, including both surface and underground infrastructure.
The army also said it had targeted several military facilities in Gaza over the past day to provide “fire support for ground units conducting operations” in the territory.
