Israeli forces target armed cell in southern Gaza

Israeli military forces said they neutralised a group of armed individuals who emerged from underground infrastructure in eastern Rafah, near the southern Gaza border.

According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), the five individuals approached Israeli troops, who were deployed in the area in line with the existing ceasefire agreement, posing a potential threat.

The IDF said that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) subsequently struck the individuals.

The military added that its troops in the Southern Command remain deployed and will continue operations to address any immediate threats.
