Israeli general says fighting in Rafah to continue until full liquidation of Hamas

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) will continue the military operation in Rafah until the complete destruction of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas in the city.

"Our duty is to keep moving forward," TASS quotes Maj-Gen Yaron Finkelman, head of the IDF Southern Command, as saying during his visit to the Rafah city.

"You are attacking the [Hamas] brigade in Rafah. And we will continue to do so until we defeat it," he added.
