Israeli intelligence: Global cells prepare attacks against Israelis, Jews

Sources within Israel’s security services have warned that dozens of cells around the world are attempting to organise attacks against Israelis and Jews.

According to the sources, these include networks linked to state sponsors of terrorism as well as groups and lone actors inspired by the war in Gaza and events in the Middle East, Caliber.Az reports, citing Israeli media outlet Newsru.co.il.

Some of these groups, they said, have already moved from gathering information to operational preparations.

Against this backdrop, Israeli authorities are reminding citizens of existing travel advisories and urging increased vigilance, particularly near Jewish and Israeli sites abroad. No official information has yet been released regarding specific countries or potential targets.

The Israeli National Security Council in September 2025 alerted citizens that terrorist organisations—particularly Hamas and state-sponsored actors such as Iran—are intensifying efforts to target Israeli and Jewish individuals overseas.

According to the International Crisis Group, Israeli intelligence reports indicate that since the October 2023 conflict escalation, Iran and its proxies have expanded operations against Jewish and Israeli targets beyond the region, utilising networks across Europe and other continents.
