Israeli jets strike military airfield in Syria's Homs

Israeli Air Force jets carried out strikes on the Shayrat airbase in Syria's Homs province.

Several powerful explosions were heard, and a fire broke out during the attack on the airbase, Caliber.Az reports citing the Dubai-based Al Hadath TV channel.

The missiles reportedly targeted weapons and ammunition depots belonging to the Shiite militia Hezbollah, which fights alongside the Syrian army. There are no reports of casualties or injuries at this time. Syrian air defenses engaged the enemy. One of the anti-aircraft missiles fell in northern Lebanon.
