Israeli media: Hamas using precise intel to hit IDF, appoints new field commanders
Israeli security sources have revealed that the Hamas militant group’s military wing continues to gather accurate intelligence on Israel Defense Forces (IDF) deployments across various conflict zones despite mounting pressure on the group in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas uses this intelligence to conduct well-planned attacks involving small arms fire, sniper shots, anti-tank missiles, mortar shells, and the placement of explosive devices at varying distances and configurations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Israeli news outlet Walla.
Insiders suggest that Hamas has successfully appointed new field commanders who oversee guerrilla operations through a series of orders transmitted from leadership hubs in Gaza City and central camps to other combat centres.
Meanwhile, a senior reserve officer has warned against underestimating the harsh weather conditions in Gaza. The intense heat and humidity pose significant challenges to sustained combat operations, causing fighter fatigue and lowering combat readiness. These factors may inadvertently contribute to the frequency and intensity of militant attacks.
