Israeli military claims destruction of 250 Iranian UAVs

The Israel Defence Forces said it has destroyed more than 250 Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles and hundreds of launchers during recent operations targeting drone infrastructure in Iran.

According to the Israeli military, the strikes were carried out after the IDF had already inflicted significant damage on what it described as the missile arsenal of the Iranian regime. Over the past several days, the military said it expanded attacks on Iran’s drone complex.

In a statement, the IDF said that during one wave of strikes, the Israeli Air Force identified operatives from Iran’s UAV program who were arming a drone and preparing to launch it toward Israel.

“After inflicting serious damage on the missile arsenal of the Iranian terrorist regime, the IDF expanded strikes against the regime’s unmanned aerial vehicle complex over the course of several days.

During one wave of strikes, the Israeli Air Force identified operatives from the regime’s UAV complex who were arming a drone and preparing to launch it toward the State of Israel.

Acting quickly, the Israeli Air Force targeted the launcher and its operatives, preventing the planned UAV launch toward the State of Israel,” the statement said.

The military added that Israeli forces struck UAV infrastructure across Iran, destroying more than 250 drones. It also said numerous commanders and operatives involved in launching drones toward Israel had been killed.

“At this stage, the IDF has destroyed more than 250 unmanned aerial vehicles across Iran. In addition, many commanders and operatives from the UAV complex responsible for numerous launches toward the Jewish state have been eliminated,” the statement said.
