Israeli military destroys Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lebanon VIDEO
The Israeli military has destroyed an underground tunnel discovered in the village of Majdal Zoun within the security zone in southern Lebanon, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said in a statement.
According to the military, troops from the 551st Brigade Combat Team and fighters from the Yahalom special engineering unit, operating under the command of the 91st Division, eliminated the underground route after it was uncovered in the village.

“The underground complex was constructed using technology and expertise provided by the Iranian terror regime. The tunnel route was more than 200 meters long and over 25 meters deep. Inside, the soldiers located hundreds of weapons and four launch shafts directed toward Israeli territory.
The IDF will continue to operate in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon to remove any threat posed to IDF soldiers, and will not allow the Hezbollah terrorist organization to harm Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers,” the army’s statement read.
