Israeli military initiates preparatory operations ahead of Gaza City assault

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have officially announced the commencement of preliminary military operations aimed at preparing for a full-scale assault on Gaza City, which is home to nearly one million Palestinian residents.

In a statement released on the social media platform X, IDF spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed that strategic plans are being implemented to capture the city situated in the central Gaza Strip, Caliber.Az reports.

Adraee underscored the intensity of ongoing military efforts, highlighting that the Israeli army has already inflicted significant damage on Hamas targets.

“The Israeli military has delivered heavy blows to Hamas and continues its combat operations to transition into the next phase of the conflict,” Adraee stated.

He further emphasized the immediacy and determination behind these maneuvers: “We are not waiting. Preliminary operations and the initial stages of the assault on Gaza City have begun, and we are actively engaged on the city’s outskirts.”
