Israeli military kills terrorist armed with knife during Samaria raid VIDEO

08 September 2026 13:28

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it had eliminated a terrorist who attempted to carry out an attack against IDF soldiers in the Samaria area overnight on September 7.

According to the IDF, soldiers and Israel Border Police forces, operating under the guidance of the Israel Security Agency (ISA), conducted counterterrorism operations in the areas of Quablan, Usarin, Aqraba and Yatma.

"In Aqraba, IDF soldiers arrived to question a suspected member of a terrorist organization. Upon their arrival, the suspect allegedly threw an improvised Molotov cocktail and an improvised explosive device toward the soldiers. No injuries were reported," the IDF said.

The soldiers subsequently surrounded the building where the suspect was hiding and entered the structure. According to the IDF, they identified the man armed with a knife, which he allegedly intended to use in an attack, and eliminated him.

The forces also apprehended four wanted individuals, including three alleged terrorists suspected of involvement in weapons trafficking and another individual who, according to the IDF, was planning to carry out an imminent terror attack.

"During searches at approximately 70 locations, soldiers questioned around 60 wanted individuals and discovered a grenade launcher, ammunition and additional military equipment," the statement added.

The IDF said the operations were conducted as part of ongoing efforts to prevent terrorist attacks and dismantle militant infrastructure in the area.
