Israeli military reports elimination of Iranian air defence unit
An aircraft of the Israeli Air Force struck and eliminated a group of Iranian air defence operatives as they attempted to activate their systems against the Israel Defence Forces, according to a statement from the press service of the Israel Defence Forces.
The statement said the strike targeted a cell operating within Iran’s air defence network at the moment they were preparing to engage Israeli aircraft.
“The Israeli Air Force continues to strike Iranian ballistic missile launchers and firing positions targeting Israeli Air Force aircraft.
The IDF will not allow the Iranian terrorist regime to target Israeli Air Force aircraft and will continue to strike attempts to arm missile launchers.
The Israeli Air Force continues to strike air defence system facilities, missile launchers, and ballistic missiles,” the statement said.
According to the military, operations are ongoing against Iranian air defence infrastructure, ballistic missile launchers, and missile systems viewed as posing a threat to Israeli aircraft.
