Israeli military says Hamas air force commander killed in Gaza strikes Video
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) and the domestic security agency Shin Bet announced that over 100 targets were struck across the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours as part of the ongoing military operation dubbed Gideon's Chariots.
According to a statement from the IDF spokesperson's unit on Telegram, one of those killed was Moataz Deeb, described as the commander of Hamas’s so-called “air force” in northern Gaza, Caliber.Az reports.
Deeb was reportedly responsible for launching drones as well as attempts to target Israeli aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The Israeli Air Force targeted militant cells, weapons storage facilities, military infrastructure—including a command centre linked to Palestinian Islamic Jihad—underground tunnels, and observation posts, the statement said.
