Israeli military says Hezbollah operative detained in southern Lebanon PHOTO/ VIDEO

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its troops detained a suspected member of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on April 22.

In a statement, the IDF said soldiers identified an individual it described as a member of Hezbollah’s Radwan Force who was allegedly planning an imminent attack against Israeli troops operating in the area. According to the military, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody, Caliber.Az reports.

The IDF said the individual was subsequently transferred to Unit 504 for further questioning.

The military added that the arrest followed Israeli operations aimed at dismantling what it described as militant infrastructure in southern Lebanon.
