Israeli military says Hezbollah operatives killed in southern Lebanon VIDEO
The Israeli military said its troops have killed Hezbollah operatives and uncovered weapons during ongoing ground operations in southern Lebanon.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said soldiers from the 91st Division have been operating in the area in recent weeks as part of a targeted ground campaign aimed at defending residents of northern Israel, Caliber.Az reports
According to the IDF, troops identified members of Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile unit inside a mosque in southern Lebanon. The military said the soldiers killed the operatives and dismantled the site, describing it as a measure to remove what it called a threat to Israeli forces and civilians.
In a separate incident, the IDF said its troops identified an individual they described as a militant observing them from a building. The Israeli Air Force, coordinating with ground forces, carried out an airstrike that the military said killed the individual.
The IDF also reported that its forces dismantled what it described as terrorist cells and seized weapons allegedly used by Hezbollah. The military said the weapons included explosive devices, firearms and ammunition.
