Israeli military says troops destroy rocket launcher in southern Lebanon Photo
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its troops from the 401st Brigade have destroyed a rocket launcher reportedly aimed at Israeli territory and uncovered an underground tunnel during operations in southern Lebanon.
According to an IDF statement, combat units operating under the 162nd Division are continuing offensive activities in the area, targeting what it described as Hezbollah infrastructure, as well as identifying and destroying weapons and militant positions, Caliber.Az reports.
The military said its forces had located a launch pad that was already loaded and directed toward Israeli territory, and that it was destroyed shortly after being identified.
In a separate operation, troops reportedly raided a site described as Hezbollah infrastructure and discovered a tunnel leading to an underground facility.
The IDF added that weapons including anti-tank missiles, small arms, and ammunition were found and destroyed during the operations.
