Israeli Navy intercepts drone over Mediterranean Sea

The Israeli Navy intercepted a drone in the Mediterranean Sea, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.

The drone was heading towards Israel and was launched from the east, a region typically associated with attacks originating from Iraq, Caliber.Az reports citing the Israeli army's press service.

In line with standard protocol, no sirens were activated, as the drone did not enter Israeli airspace.

In a related development, overnight, the Israeli Air Force shot down another suspected drone approaching Israel from Iraq.
