Israeli PM arrives on his first visit to UAE
Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has discussed a number of economic and regional issues with the president of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) during his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Bennett arrived in the UAE on an unscheduled visit, Anadolu Agency reports, quoting the Israeli prime minister's press service.
The parties held one-on-one and expanded format meetings with the participation of delegations.
The Israeli prime minister expressed his condolences on the death of former UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on May 13 and congratulated Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on his appointment to the position, the statement said.
The volume of trade between the two countries has grown by hundreds of millions of dollars since last year.
The trade turnover between Israel and the UAE is expected to reach $3 billion by late 2022.
