Israeli president congratulates IDF and US on joint operation “Lion’s Roar”

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has congratulated the Israeli military and the United States following their joint operation against Iran, according to Nuw100.

In a statement, Herzog praised what he described as a coordinated military action carried out by the Israel Defence Forces and US armed forces.

“I congratulate the IDF and the US armed forces on their bold joint operation, ‘Lion's Roar,’ against the Iranian threat,” he said.

The Israeli president characterised the operation as a significant turning point, expressing gratitude to US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for authorising the move.

“This is a dramatic and historic step, and I thank US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for this decision, in the hope that it will lead to historic changes for the entire Middle East and us,” Herzog stated.

Addressing the public, he warned that the country could face challenging days ahead while emphasising national resilience.

“Citizens of Israel, difficult days lie ahead, but we are a strong people, and no one can match our resilience. Be careful and follow the instructions of the Home Front Command,” he said.

Herzog also delivered a message to Israeli troops operating across multiple fronts.

“To the commanders of the IDF and its soldiers in all arenas — on land, at sea, and in the air — I trust you. The entire nation stands behind you and trusts you.

“May God keep you coming and going.”
