Israeli security forces detain wanted militant in Ramallah, West Bank

Israeli Police and the Security Service (Shin Bet) have detained an armed militant involved in several attacks on Israeli security forces in the West Bank.

The suspect was apprehended in the city of Ramallah, where he was wanted for his role in multiple armed assaults targeting both civilian areas and Israeli security personnel, Caliber.Az reports per Israeli Police Telegram post.

According to the report, the man resisted arrest when security forces approached, prompting officers to shoot him in the leg and neutralise him.

“The Israeli Police, the Israel Defense Forces, and the Shin Bet will continue to take decisive and coordinated measures to prevent terrorist attacks, apprehend wanted individuals, and ensure the safety of Israel’s citizens,” the police statement said.
