Investigators revealed that Madi identified with ISIS, maintained contacts with its representatives abroad, and was actively involved in the production of explosives. His plot aimed to detonate a bomb at the railway station, driven by nationalist motives on behalf of the terrorist organisation.
The Haifa District Prosecutor’s Office is set to file formal charges against him today, September 30.
In an official statement, authorities emphasised: “The Shin Bet and Israeli police will continue decisive efforts to detect and prevent terrorist activity, employing all available measures to hold accountable those involved in actions that threaten the security of the State of Israel, its security forces, and its citizens.”
