Israeli soldier, civilian open fire after attempted stabbing in Kdumim

An attempted stabbing attack on Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers occurred in the Kdumim settlement in Israel, the IDF said.

According to the IDF press service, one of the soldiers and an Israeli civilian opened fire to neutralise the threat after a knife-wielding individual approached IDF personnel, per Caliber.Az.

Initial reports indicated that the attacker was an Israeli civilian armed with a knife. The suspect was wounded and evacuated for medical treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation, the military added.
