Israeli soldier killed in combat in southern Lebanon photo

The Israel Defence Forces has announced the death of a soldier during operations in southern Lebanon.

According to the military, the serviceman was identified as Ori Greenberg, a 21-year-old staff sergeant serving in the reconnaissance unit of the Golani Brigade.

In an official statement, the military said: “Sergeant Ori Greenberg, a soldier in the Golani patrol unit, Golani Brigade, was killed in combat in southern Lebanon at the age of 21. His family has been notified. The Israel Defence Forces extends its condolences to the family and will continue to support them.”
