Israeli soldier killed in combat in southern Lebanon, IDF says

An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldier has been killed during combat operations in southern Lebanon, the military said in a statement.

According to the IDF, “Sergeant Nehoray Leizer, aged 19, from Eilat, a combat soldier in the 601st Combat Engineering Battalion, 401st Brigade, fell in combat in southern Lebanon.”

The military did not immediately provide further details on the circumstances of the incident.
