Israeli strikes kill more civilians in southern Lebanon
At least two people were killed in a new Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon, as military operations intensified across multiple areas of the country.
According to QNA, the strike targeted the town of Jmaijmeh. Artillery shelling has also continued in the towns of Zibqin and Ghorbat.
Israeli aircraft carried out additional strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut, hitting the areas of Jammous and Laylaki. A third airstrike on Tuesday targeted the town of Aaitit in the south.
The latest figures indicate that the overall death toll from Israeli attacks has risen to 886, with 2,141 people injured. The escalation has significantly worsened the humanitarian situation, forcing more than one million people to flee their homes.
Earlier reports indicated that three people were killed in a separate strike on Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon.
