Italian airports impose fuel restrictions on commercial flights
04 April 2026 22:21
Airports in Milan, Venice, Bologna, and Treviso have introduced fuel supply restrictions for commercial flights until April 9 due to limited fuel availability from provider Air BP Italia.
Authorities have established a priority system to ensure uninterrupted operations of essential services, giving preference to medical flights, government flights, and routes longer than three hours, Caliber.Az reports, citing Italian media.
For all other commercial operators, the airports in Venice, Treviso, and Bologna have set a maximum fuel limit of 2,000 liters per flight due to logistical challenges.
