Italy to send Israeli-made drones to Ukraine

Italy will send Israeli-designed drones and one Samp/T air defence system with 20 munitions to Ukraine as part of the sixth military aid package.

The package also includes heavy artillery pieces, vehicles, and generating sets, Corriere della Sera quotes local intelligence sources as saying.

The newspaper clarified that Italy is going to send to Ukraine UAVs "assembled in Italy according to an Israeli design", which are claimed to counterbalance the drones of Iranian origin used by Russia.

In addition to the weapons, Italy also provides the Ukraine Armed Forces with "intelligence information", the sources say.
