ITU Council adopts UAE resolution condemning Iran attacks

The United Arab Emirates has secured international backing for the condemnation of Iran’s attacks on civilian information and communication technology infrastructure, according to the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement cited by Caliber.Az, the ministry said that on Friday, May 1, the Council of the International Telecommunication Union unanimously adopted a resolution proposed by the UAE addressing the issue.

The resolution condemns attacks attributed to Iran targeting civilian ICT infrastructure, marking a coordinated international response within the UN-affiliated body.
