J.Lo marks 57th birthday in Paris with more than 500 carats of jewels
American singer and actress Jennifer Lopez began celebrating her July 24 birthday early this year, hosting a lavish party in Paris during Fashion Week alongside friends and her sister, Lynda Lopez.
The star, who turns 57 later this month, stayed true to her signature style by making three wardrobe changes throughout the evening — matching the number of outfits she wore during her wedding to Ben Affleck — while dazzling guests with more than 500 carats of diamonds and precious stones, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.
Lopez arrived at the celebration wearing a sheer halter-neck gown by Zuhair Murad adorned with strategically placed crystals and complemented by a dramatic feathered jacket.
Her accessories included pearl-fringe earrings by Chopard featuring six carats of diamonds and 68 carats of white pearls.
Posting photos from the event on Instagram, Lopez wrote: "Just this feeling… Birthday celebrations in Paris!"
She also expressed gratitude to her friends, including the designers and stylists she has collaborated with for many years.
J.Lo later changed into a black corset dress by Tamara Ralph, embellished with beaded fringe, which she wore while dancing and cutting her birthday cake.
The look was paired with an eye-catching Chopard bib necklace featuring 209 carats of diamonds, alongside 19-carat diamond earrings, a nearly six-carat diamond ring and a bracelet set with more than 73 carats of diamonds.
For her third appearance of the evening, Lopez opted for a voluminous white Haute Couture creation by Stéphane Rolland, highlighted by a sparkling sheer panel around the knees.
She added colour to the ensemble with a Chopard necklace and earrings set containing more than 42 carats of rubies and over 112 carats of diamonds, along with a ring featuring 2.82 carats of marquise-cut diamonds.
Lynda Lopez also embraced high fashion for the occasion, wearing a black cutout gown by Celia Kritharioti shortly after attending the designer's couture show alongside her sister from the front row.
Following her Paris celebrations, Lopez quickly resumed her busy schedule, travelling to London for Wimbledon before heading to Italy to perform at the Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda show.
