First footage of Jackie Chan’s "Armour of God" in Baku released VIDEO

Jackie Chan has begun filming the fourth instalment of the Armour of God franchise in Baku, with the first footage from the Azerbaijani capital released online.

The footage was published on the film’s official Instagram page, Salem Jackiechan. It shows Chan arriving in Baku with the international production team and taking part in a traditional ceremony marking the start of filming.

The actor is seen holding a clapperboard, speaking with the director and crew members and posing for a group photograph. The video also features preparations for filming and production equipment.

The Baku leg of the production was launched with the traditional breaking of a film plate for good luck.

Chan will reprise his role as the ‘Asian Hawk’, the adventurous protagonist of the franchise. Baku was selected as a key filming location because the story’s major events take place in the Caspian region.

Filming in Azerbaijan is expected to continue until autumn 2026, with the film scheduled for a worldwide release in 2027.
