Japan, US hold joint air force exercises

The Japan Air Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) and the US Armed Forces have conducted joint tactical exercises over the Sea of Japan, involving four F-15 and four F-16 jet fighters.

The JSDF and US Armed Forces cooperate closely in peacetime and maintain high levels of operational readiness to respond to any situation to defend the two nations and contribute to peace and stability, according to a press release published by the Japan Defence Ministry.

Through such exercises, JSDF continues to maintain and reinforce readiness and the ability to contribute to peace and stability in this region.
