Japanese company to introduce hybrid system in remote mountain villages of Azerbaijan PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Japan will cooperate on a pilot project to introduce an optimal hybrid system based on renewable energy sources, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said.
According to the minister, the talks were held with Japan’s Komaihaltec company concerning power and heat supply to remote mountain villages, Caliber.Az reports per the minister’s Twitter page.

Earlier, the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry’s Renewable Energy Agency Director Javid Abdullayev and the representatives of Komaihaltec signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on renewable energy projects.
It was noted at the meeting that cooperation opportunities with Japan in the field of energy are successfully continued. Expansion of opportunities for cooperation in the field of renewable energy was discussed.
Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on September 7, 1992. Currently, Azerbaijan and Japan are cooperating in different sectors of the economy.
