Jerusalem court cancels Netanyahu testimony in corruption trial
20 April 2026 10:55
A court in Jerusalem has approved Benjamin Netanyahu’s request to cancel his testimony in his ongoing corruption trial this week, according to Al Jazeera.
Netanyahu’s lawyer reportedly cited “security and diplomatic” reasons for the Prime Minister’s request.
The case is currently in the cross-examination stage of Netanyahu’s testimony, as he faces three corruption charges dating back to 2019.
This marks the latest in a series of delays, with his court appearances repeatedly postponed.
The interruptions have often been connected to Israel’s military operations in Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran, which Netanyahu’s side has used as justification for his absence from hearings.
