Jordan condemns attack on UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan

Abdullah II, the king of Jordan, held a telephone conversation on Friday with Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates, to discuss the current situation in the Middle East and the consequences of the ongoing military escalation for regional security and stability.
According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), King Abdullah II condemned the attack on the UAE consulate in Iraqi Kurdistan, saying it violated international norms designed to protect diplomatic missions.
During the call, both leaders stressed the need for an immediate end to military hostilities and emphasised the importance of prioritising diplomatic dialogue to resolve regional conflicts and prevent further escalation.
