Jordan sends eighth humanitarian convoy to support Lebanon’s needs

Jordan sent a new humanitarian convoy to Lebanon on June 18, continuing its ongoing relief efforts through the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organisation (JHCO), in coordination with the Jordan Armed Forces – Arab Army and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

This latest shipment, the eighth in the series of aid deliveries, consists of 19 trucks loaded with vital relief goods, alongside a separate consignment of medicines aimed at reinforcing Lebanese hospitals and supporting strained healthcare services, according to Jordan News Agency.

The dispatch was carried out in line with assessments of urgent needs on the ground in Lebanon and was organised through close coordination with the Lebanese High Relief Commission and other relevant partners to ensure aid is directed to the most impacted communities.

The initiative highlights Jordan’s broader humanitarian approach, which emphasises coordinated action, timely delivery, and effective distribution mechanisms to maximise impact and transparency in aid operations, the organisation said.

JHCO also acknowledged the role of Syrian authorities in facilitating the safe passage of humanitarian shipments en route to Lebanon. The organisation reiterated its commitment to working with both local and international partners to support vulnerable populations, particularly in healthcare and livelihoods.
