Jordanian media spotlight Azerbaijan’s WUF13 success in Baku PHOTO
Jordanian media outlets have widely covered the successful organisation of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, highlighting Azerbaijan’s urban development and reconstruction efforts.
According to reports published by Petra News Agency, Jordan Daily and several leading Jordanian news platforms, the UN-Habitat event served as a key platform for discussions on urban planning, housing policy, climate change and sustainable development, Azertag reports.
The articles noted that President Ilham Aliyev, speaking at the opening ceremony, outlined Azerbaijan’s modern urban planning policies and reconstruction projects in Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur, including the “Smart City” and “Smart Village” initiatives.
Jordanian media also highlighted international praise for Azerbaijan’s green development concepts in the liberated territories, while describing Baku as an emerging global platform for dialogue due to the high-level participation at the forum.
The reports further commended the organisation, security, logistics and digital management of the event, saying WUF13 strengthened Azerbaijan’s international image and role in global discussions on the future of cities.
