12 March 2026 09:55
Media reports say a new body responsible for preliminary censorship of media coverage has been established in Israel.
According to the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), citing a report by a Spanish journalist in the country, the authority has introduced restrictions on the publication of certain images related to recent missile attacks.
The journalist reported that media outlets are prohibited from publishing images showing damage to the headquarters of Mossad and other government buildings following missile strikes carried out by Iran.
The report also said that media organisations that fail to comply with the requirements of the newly established body could risk losing their operating licenses.
