Karabakh hosts “Week of Spiritual Values” marking Victory in Patriotic War PHOTO
The “Week of Spiritual Values,” dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War, has begun in Karabakh.
Students and faculty from the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) visited territories liberated from occupation along the Victory Road — a symbol of the historic 2020 Patriotic War victory, Caliber.Az reports per Azertac.
Participants visited the site of the first battles of the Patriotic War in the village of Garakhanbeyli in the Fizuli district and paid tribute at a martyr memorial.
The delegation then travelled to the Zangilan district, where they visited the city mosque. During the visit, they were briefed on the mosque’s history, the damages it suffered during occupation, and the ongoing restoration work.
The trip concluded with a visit to the Khudafarin Bridge in the Jabrayil district.
The project, jointly implemented by the State Committee for Work with Religious Education, Karabakh University, the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, and the Fund for Promoting Spiritual Values, aims to strengthen youth awareness of national identity and foster commitment to Azerbaijan’s spiritual values, historical traditions, and heritage.
