Kazakh senator: Let Keosayan look for neo-Nazis in Yerevan ... and hold a parade near the monument to Nzhdeh

Mukhtar Kul-Mukhammed, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Defense and Security of the Senate of Kazakhstan’s Parliament, commented on the scandalous statement of the Russian propagandist Tigran Keosayan, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Kazakh media.

“In the capital of Armenia, Yerevan, a monument was erected to the henchman of the main fascist and Nazi in the history of mankind Hitler - Garegin Nzhdeh, a man who died in a Soviet prison for treason. Therefore, if he [Keosayan] wants to look for neo-Nazis, then let him look for them in his historical homeland. Let him hold a parade before the monument of Garegin and take part in it himself,” Kul-Mukhammed told reporters.

On April 27, the husband of the propagandist Margarita Simonyan, Tigran Keosayan, resorted to insults against Kazakhstan on his YouTube channel. Keosayan’s remarks followed a statement about the cancellation of Victory Parade in Kazakhstan on May 9, 2022. Keosyan was not satisfied with the statement of the Kazakh Defence Ministry and media reports, which explained the reason for the cancellation with the limited funds in the country's budget.

Keosayan said the Kazakh people are obliged to support Russia's foreign policy since the "games of friendship are over" and it is "a matter of survival". The ethnic Armenian TV presenter urged Kazakhstan to take a clear pro-Russian stance in the ongoing events in Ukraine. He reminded the "Ukrainian scenario" in case of a negative development of relations between Moscow and Nur-Sultan.
