Kazakh, Serbian presidents hold talks to strengthen strategic partnership Photo
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan and President Aleksandar Vučić of Serbia held bilateral talks in Astana following a formal welcoming ceremony, underscoring growing political and economic ties between the two countries.
According to the press service of the Kazakh presidency, the ceremony featured introductions of both delegations, a report by the commander of the honour guard, and the playing of the national anthems of Kazakhstan and Serbia. The two leaders then proceeded to a meeting room for official discussions, Caliber.Az reports.
President Tokayev described Serbia as “a very important strategic partner in Europe,” highlighting significant progress in economic, humanitarian and cultural cooperation. He also noted that the two countries share similar approaches to key international issues.
President Vučić thanked his Kazakh counterpart for the warm reception and expressed appreciation for the hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He said he looks forward to welcoming President Tokayev to Serbia in the near future.
