Kazakhstan deepens ties with China’s Jiangsu in trade and investment push
Kazakhstan plans to further develop its trade, economic, and investment relations with Jiangsu Province, one of China’s most economically advanced regions.
The issue was discussed during talks between Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Naliabayev and Xun Changsong, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of Jiangsu Province, who is visiting Kazakhstan on his first official trip.
The two sides reviewed ongoing and planned joint investment projects and discussed expanding interregional cooperation. Key areas of focus included industrial cooperation, digital economy development, logistics, and attracting new investment flows.
The Chinese delegation emphasised Kazakhstan’s strategic role in international cargo transport along the China–Europe corridor and expressed interest in expanding direct business-to-business connections between the two sides.
Officials also highlighted the “Central Asia–Jiangsu” centre in Astana, which was established to enhance technological cooperation and strengthen investment ties between Kazakhstan and Jiangsu Province.
