Kazakhstan hosts Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting in Astana VIDEO
A meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council has begun in Astana under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to Kazinform, the high-level guests include Russian President Vladimir Putin, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
This year, Kazakhstan holds the rotating chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) bodies, including the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, and the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.
The priorities of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship include the development of artificial intelligence technologies as a tool for economic integration, the use of the EAEU’s logistics potential, digitalisation of industry and the agro-industrial sector, reducing administrative barriers in mutual trade, and expanding economic cooperation with third countries.
