King Charles III to celebrate 400th anniversary of French Versailles palace

France is to receive King Charles III of Britain for a state visit commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Palace of Versailles.

Charles and Queen Camilla will tour Paris and Bordeaux during their three-day-trip, starting September 20, according to Reuters, which will include a grand dinner at Versailles in the presence of over 150 guests in the Hall of Mirrorr amid the palace having just opened its gallery to the public.

The royal visit comes as Britain and France seek to rebuild ties tested by the bitter and chaotic years of Brexit.
